2 years ago, I took my parents to visit the Leura Gardens Festival and I was like a kid in a toy store.
We bought the Combined Ticket since we were there for the weekend. We wanted to see all of gardens and believe me, you will get your money’s worth.
Leura Gardens Festival will be held from Saturday October 3rd – 11th this year. Gardens are open from 9.30 am – 4.30 pm daily. Proceeds from the festival will go to purchasing equipment for the Blue Mountains District Anzac Memorial Hospital. For full details please see: http://leuragardensfestival.com.au/
It was foggy on our way to the Blue Moutains. The first garden we visited as you can see from the above picture, its just paradise. The garden is situated on the side of the mountain and overlooking Leura.
This was the second garden we visited. Lots of colours and everything are in bloom!
I think the above tree is Cherry Blossom, please do let me know if you know what it is. I would love to grow this in my front garden and just enjoy the glorious flowers.
I was also getting ideas from the gardens to use for my small garden. This was the first time, I have seen a tree espaliered and the following year my dad and I have put trellises around the backyard. Now I have apples, peacharine and berries espaliered.
